2024 W2 Employer State ID# (box 15) has extra digit never there before. Do I use it?

Hi all.  I've been at the same company for over 20 years. Their Federal and State ID numbers have never changed, but this year, on my 2024 W2, there is now an extra space and digit for the State ID # in box 15. The first 8 digits have remained the same as at least the last 10 years, but we have a new payroll company this year, and all of a sudden they have the original 8-digit State ID # in box 15, plus an extra SPACE and the one more digit.  I've asked, but am not getting any solid answer from the company. Should I enter the extra SPACE and digit even though it was never there before? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Yes, you should enter your w-2 exactly as it appears.   TurboTax may delete the space but that is okay - TurboTax knows where your withholding went with or without the extra digit.

Thank you for the quick response!  You are correct, TT did remove the space, I was just worried about the extra digit throwing things off because it was never there in prior years on the W2.  Thanks again, and have a good day!
