Question

A friend has a deluxe 2018 version as do I. Hers included the state and mine requires additional 44.95. We both bought at costco. What gives?

There are actually Deluxe Desktop Editions that do not include a free state return. These editions are typically sold in and near states that do not have a state income tax. Additionally, the edition without the free state "should" have been priced lower than Deluxe that includes a free state prep program.
