A useless and frustrating forum

I have never seen a forum as bad as this one, and I have been using it for four years. Whenever I ask a question, it is lost to me forever. How could TTax possibly build a forum without a link to one's own question of forty-eight hours ago? Bad, bad, bad.

(I've seen other questions like this, and the wise moderators bawl the questioner out for repeatedly asking the same question! No wonder he keeps asking it anew, since there's no way for him to find the original.)

Okay, I apologize! I've actually received some very useful information here. But I continue to regard this forum as VERY frustrating. It's not at all intuitive, and its purpose seems less to provide information than to coax people to hire an expert!

That said, thanks to all who've answered here and in my original question, which I can "find" simply by clicking on one of the responses that find their way to my inbox. Who would have guessed that that's how it works?

I suppose the solution is to ask the question in the early morning, then keep the window open for the rest of the day, hoping it won't take long to elicit and answer.

I also notice that this is the first forum I've used that provides no way to edit one's question!

To see a list of your postings, go to the upper right corner of any page and click on the Profile icon (looks like a trio of heads).   Then in the dropdown choose My Profile.   On your profile page scroll down and you should see 3 tabs:   Posts, Replies, and Drafts.

    Shortcut:

You can also click on your name (or others) that appears in any thread, and it will take you to your Profile to see your forum activity.

As for editing, you are quite correct that editing is not obvious, but here's how to do it..   To edit any question or comment,  look for a tiny 3-dots blue icon to the right (and slightly up) of your question or comment.  Click that and in the dropdown menu choose Edit.
