If I purchase a download version, can I also use my account to file a separate return in on my phone (online version)?

You would have to pay for Online separately. The Desktop program can do unlimited returns.

Why would you want to do that? If you have the download, you can e-file up to five federal returns and their related state returns, for various family members etc. Additional returns can be printed and filed by mail, for the cost of an envelope and a stamp. The online software is a separate program and you have to pay for EACH return you prepare using online.
