When reviewing the IRS Payment Plan option, I accidentally made a debit card payment to the IRS via one of the processors before I actually filed my federal taxes on the TurboTax site. After I realized that (5 mins after paying) I went ahead and filed through TurboTax right after.
Will the payment in advance be shown as a balance, and then will what I owe that comes through after filing be deducted from that balance?
