According to the promo page, I should get deluxe or premium free for being active duty military, but the app is still trying to make me pay anyway.

I made sure to check all the boxes that include saying I'm military, and even tried to continue from the payment page, but it insists on having me pay. How do I fix this?

In the My Info section of the program indicate that you are active military. You must enter a Military W-2 in the Wages & Income section and after completing the W-2 on the screen labeled Let's check for uncommon situations you will need to check the box Active military duty

When you are at the end of preparing your return you should not be charged,

No one in the user forum can resolve a billing issue. If you have a question about your TurboTax fees or billing, make sure you use the word “billing” in your request for help. Do not use the word “refund.”
