Situation - 28 year old dependent child has healthcare marketplace insurance and received a 1095-A. As he is claimed as a dependent on his parents' return, is the parents' income considered for purposes of possible repayment of the APTC? When I enter the 1095-A info into the parents' return, it is increasing the amount they owe (as a repayment of the APTC). 28 y/o is disabled and doesn't file for himself. Greatly appreciate feedback (and if possible, source of any answers).

Yes.  If you claim someone as a dependent on your return and they have insurance through the marketplace, your income is used to calculate the credit.

In this type of situation, it may be better to not claim him on your return.
