after I input my bank debit information, is there anyway to pay a diff amount than what I owe?

I need to file and pay my taxes today but I can only pay a partial amount, how do I insert only the amount I can afford right now?

File your return on time! Tell TurboTax you will mail a check, e-file, and then pay your tax bill on the IRS and/or state's Taxing Authority's website as soon as possible. Make and IRS Payment.

not sure about TT options but you can take TT out of the payment loop - you should have an option to mail a check and then pay directly online at https://www.irs.gov/payments

Fed will debit your account quickly, if you put a payment in today it will debit tomorrow most likely. states may vary but mine took a few days to debit.

this site also has info on penalties/interest, payment plans etc.
