Question

After I input the banking information it said it could not efile my return because it was too late. I need to know if the payment went through?

Why would it ask for all of my payment and banking info if it was not going to allow me to efile.  Did the payment go through?

The IRS has permanently closed e-filing for 2021. You have no choice but to print, sign and mail the return to the IRS.

If using the online version and you can print the return for mailing, then your payment went through.

You cannot e-file a 2022 tax return at this time.  The forms for filing are not all finalized so nothing has been filed and no payments have been made.

Are you trying to complete a 2021 tax return?  The TurboTax online editions are only for tax year 2022.

To complete and file a 2021 tax return using TurboTax you would need to purchase, download and install on a personal computer one of the 2021 desktop editions from this website - https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/

A 2021 tax return can only be printed and mailed, it cannot be e-filed.

What payment are you asking about---"I need to know if the payment went through"?

If you mean the payment for your TurboTax fees, yes, since you cannot print unless your fees are paid.  But if you mean you were trying to pay federal tax due ---no, no payment to the IRS "went through."

Please clarify what payment you are asking about.
