Question

After my e-file was rejected I discovered an error on the return. How can I fix the omission before I fix the e-file error?

While your fixing that e-file error you should be able to correct any other errors you see.

But if that doesn't work , use the trick "Add a State" to reenter your return for revisions.

Always print a copy of your completed tax return for your records, and review it carefully before e-Filing.
You will need it if you are audited by the IRS, or to amend because a TurboTax update changes your return.
