AGI requirement to file?

I just want to verify this because I don't recall ever needing to fill in last year's AGI to file before, but this year I am being told I need this. I am using Turbotax deluxe desktop. There is a number pre-filled in the AGI slot for me, but the software is also telling me not to guess, because it could cause my return to be rejected -  should I assume the pre-filled amount is correct, and is there any way I can double check it if not?

On your 2023 tax return, your AGI is on line 11 of the Form 1040.

If you do not have a copy of your tax return, you can get your AGI from one of the IRS self-service tools:

    • Use your online account to immediately view your AGI on the Tax Records tab. If you're a new user, have your photo identification ready.
    • Use Get Transcript by Mail. You can also request a transcript by mail by calling our automated phone transcript service at 800-908-9946. Please allow 5 to 10 days for delivery.

you can presume the prefilled AGI is correct since you used TurboTax last year, else that number would not be there.

IRS requires AGI to be entered to e-File. This is not new.
