Anyone get this status message from their NY return this year or get it last year and recall what happened? "we received...may require..longer then fed..

"We received your return and it may require further review. This may result in your New York State return taking longer to process than your federal return. No further information is available at this time."

I saw some people post last year that they heard that it meant they were in the final stages but no one ever followed up with a post as to what happened. I really need the money and am just trying to get a feeling for what is happening.

I know I have to wait for my federal return because of EIC

They update every 24 hrs.... I have the same thing I called them & they looked into it saying it' v common it's the next stage in processing to check back in a couple days or in a week. Alongs it don't say 90days y'all are gd because if it says 90 days you will receive a letter in the mail asking to fax in documents

I had that message after a couple days of it saying received. Today it switched to received and being processed.

I e-filed with Turbo on 1/29/18 and 1 week later rec'd my federal. Its the same message I rec'd for state:

"We received your return and it may require further review. This may result in your New York State return taking longer to process than your federal return. No further information is available at this time."

I don't child income credit. The state just takes longer to review. I believe they are more detailed in checking your file enough though you rec'f little refund or big.

I called the 800 number and when you efile it takes up to 21 days from the date you file to rec'd your state refund and 1 to 2 weeks for federal.

New York State refunds usually takes longer since they have to wait until funds are available , there's really no money to pay every tax paper quickly ( So they say ) this causes delays, document request ect to prolong the process. This info comes from someone that works auditing taxpayers, It's all a gimmick From the puppeteers and you just happend to be the puppet.

I E Filed The 6Th Of February , I CLAIMED EITC FOR ONE CHILD I RECIVED MY FEDERAL ON THE 22nd OF THIS Month BUT NOT My state.. last week my state said it might need further review and this week it said processing.. still waiting!

New York State refunds usually takes longer since they have to wait until funds are available , there's really no money to pay every tax paper quickly ( So they say ) this causes delays, document request ect to prolong the process. This info comes from someone that works auditing taxpayers, It's all a gimmick From the puppeteers and you just happend to be the puppet.
