Question

Are rents deductible or eligible for any tax breaks or credits?

I have been working from home full time (40 hours per week) for the entire 2022 year. I use my studio as my primary workplace and use my home Internet service to connect to my company's network to work. Do I get to deduct my monthly rent, utility, water, Internet and other related expenses on my 2022 tax return?

If so, which TurboTax form or option should I use?

Assuming "my company's network" means you are an employee,

No, you can only deduct a Home Office if you are Self-Employed.

If you are an Employee, you can not claim any of those expenses.

If you ARE Self-Employed, yes those expenses are entered in the Business Section of TurboTax Home and Business Desktop or TurboTax Self-Employed Online

Update or Start Business Income and Expenses

Edit the business if necessary

Scroll down to Home Office Expense under Business Expenses
