Are we allowed to switch back to mailing in our paper tax return?

Let’s say a taxpayer used to mail in their paper tax return.  He then switches to e-filing the tax return.  May the taxpayer, in some future year, switch back to mailing in their paper tax return?  Are there any difficulties in switching back to mailing in your return?  Can we switch back and forth each year?

Thanks.

Yes, you switch back and forth each year as you like with no complications. Many people are required to file by mail and the following year they can return to e-filing.
