Question

As I am reviewing my TurboTax 2019 return it has more sales tax than the instructions and the box on line 5a is not checked. How can I correct it?

I now found more details on the sales tax. The only question is how do I get the box on line 5a Schedule A checked?

To correct your Sales Tax Deduction while in TurboTax follow these steps:

  1. While you are in your Tax Home,
  2. Select Search from the top right side of your screen,
  3. Enter Sales Tax,
  4. Select Jump to Sales Tax,
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete this section.
**Say "Thanks" by clicking the thumb icon in a post**Mark the post that answers your question by clicking on "Mark as Best Answer"
