Question

At the top of Form 540, do I white out 000-00-0000 and write NRA for my non resident alien spouse? Should I also write NRA for Box 3 next to my NRA spouse's name?

Box 3 is for Form 540 under Filing Status. TurboTax already included my wife's name on there, but I'm not sure if I need to also write NRA next to her name in the same box.

No. Your spouse's name goes in Box 3 and NRA goes at the top under Spouse/RDP's SSN or ITIN.

Thanks so much. I was also wondering if it's necessary to write these corrections manually in pen, or if it's okay to make the edits on the PDF directly from a computer. Thanks again for your help
