Back me out of the costly deluxe. You crooks won't let me back out of it. My form is so simple anyone could fill it out. I won't pay over $100 I will report this.

Turbotax Online is free to start, but if you require anything more than the main 1040 form (like one of the new schedules 1-6) you need to upgrade.

It is generally cheaper to buy Turbotax in a store on CD and install it on your own computer.

And of course, you are certainly free to prepare your own return by hand using forms from the IRS and the state if it is so simple.

The cost is disclosed before you pay it, you are free to back out or cancel at any time before you make payment.
