Box 12 of W2 not reporting HSA contributions

My employer did not code my HSA contributions correctly in Box 12 but they are deducted from Box 1, 3, and 5. I've tried updating the amount of employer contributions through a cafeteria plan on TurboTax but it will not let me edit that box. I'm only able to adjust the after-tax contributions. How can I get this reported properly as my employer will not issue a corrected W2?

In the HSA interview, go to the screen "Did your employer tell you about any other contributions?" Ignore the remark about a previous year, and click "Yes".

Three new lines appear. On the third line ("Employer and payroll contributions not reported in box 12 of your W-2") put the amount that should have appeared in box 12 with code W.

By any chance are you also filing a New Jersey or California state return?

I cannot get that box to populate for me. I say Yes when it asks me about making HSA contributions, but the box for where the amount from Box 12 should go remains unable to be edited. I only have one other box that I can edit which is after-tax contributions, which is not the case. How can I get this third line to appear?

No, I'm not filing in NJ or CA.

I think you are on the wrong screen. I think you are referring to the "Let's enter [name]'s HSA contributions" screen.

Instead, continue to the screen I told you to go to: "Did your employer tell you about any other contributions?" Ignore the remark about a previous year, and click "Yes".
