While completing our filing, I came to "Personal - Other Tax Situations" and chose "Learn More" under Alternative minimum tax, and received the following error:

https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/tax-tips/IRS-Tax-Return/Alternative-Minimum-Tax--Common-Questions/INF12072.html#avoid sent back an error.

Error code: 400 Bad Request

I thought someone should know.  Thank you.

I would suggest clearing your cache and see if that helps resolve the error message.

If you are using TurboTax Desktop, try updating your program.  This can be done by logging into your desktop product.  Select Online in the menu on the top, and then select Check for Updates.

If that does not update your program, you can also manually update your program.

@JotikaT2  Thank you for your reply.  I cleared my cache, and installed an update earlier today, but just received the same error in addition, the received another error message that a Secure Site Not Available.  I told it to continue to HTTP Site because I get that from time to time and end up on a secure site anyway.  It still doesn't work.

I'll just go to the IRS site for the information.  Thank you again for your response.

Interesting.

Using Windows Desktop Premier (rev 024.000.0365) :

Be sure to single click on that Learn More selection.

1)  When I do that I get a separate pop-up "On Demand Tax Guidance" box with a long explanation of what the AMT is about, and generally why it may be used & due.

2) Then at the bottom of the explanation in that pop-up there is a text indicating: "To read more about AMT click here."

......and if I click that ....THEN, I get the same web-error that you do.
