CA paid family leave - paid state tax for one year

Hi, we paid federal tax for CA paid family leave for years 2021 and 2022. We also paid CA state tax for the same for 2021 only. Are we due for a refund? If yes, how do we go about it?

The CA Paid Family Leave has always been taxable on the federal level, so there is no need to amend your federal returns.
