CA SDI 1099G issued in paid year or in claim year?

Hi,

 

I filed for a CA SDI disability claim in Oct 2021 for a 3 week period to recover from a surgery. EDD finally processed it in early Feb 2022 and issued me a check.  

 

So far I have not received a 1099G from CA EDD.  Will it be issued for year 2021 or 2022? Please help.

    Your 1099-G will be issued for 2022, the year your claim was paid.
