California info worksheet is asking me to provide ss for a dependent I did not mean to put in the injured spouse form that it will not delete

The first thing I would do is walk through the Injured Spouse entry sheets and remove any reference to the dependent.

If this does not solve the problem, I would delete Form 8379, Injured Spouse Allocation and the offending CA Info Worksheet. Make sure you get the name of the CA worksheet as there may be more than one. You will have to re-enter the data both on the injured spouse forms and the CA return.

To Delete Form 8379, Injured Spouse Allocation, and CA Info Worksheet for TurboTax Online:

•  In the left-hand black menu, choose Tools.
•  Click on Delete a Form from the window that pops up.
•  You should now see the Review Form List. Scroll down the list and click Delete on Form 8379.
•  Scroll down toward the end of the page and under the California forms, delete the offending California Info Worksheet. Make sure it is the correct one.
• You may get a pop up telling you additional worksheets and forms are being deleted. Approve and click delete.
• You should come back to the Review Form List. Scroll to the bottom and click Continue with My Return.
