Can a dependent college student collect unemployment? I am 19 years old, I attend trade school, and I live with my mom. I pay her for my portion of the bills and rent but I am still of course a dependent. Could I qualify for unemployment?

Generally you need earned income to be eligible to collect unemployment benefits. Every state has some different rules as to the eligibility requirements. These can include the reason you are no longer employed. You should look up the requirements for your state. They are generally posted on line.
