Can finacial support be to persons overseas?
i get married Dec 1, 2017. My wife supported her family in the Philippines 100%. Her brother has 6 kids and no job or income. Can we deduct her support to them?
Providing financial support to someone is not reported on a tax return. They would have to claimed as dependents on your tax return. To be eligible under the Qualifying Relative rules they must be US citizens or residents of the US, Canada or Mexico.
