Can i claim federal taxes that were paid for 2015 in 2016
I received a letter in 2016 that they adjusted my 2015 federal tax and i owed 5k. Can I claim this on this years taxes?
No you cannot claim taxes paid for a prior year federal return on your current year federal tax return.
