Can I claim tax credits on land I own in Texas when I did not earn any income in Texas?

I own property in Texas, but live and work in Nevada? I am renovating my property and want to know if I can still claim tax credits for the work done? Thanks!

You can't claim credit for owning land or personal property improvements no matter where you live. If you are asking if you can claim your property taxes on your federal return, YES, you can. Enter your deductions on the federal return. Neither Texas nor Nevada has state income tax;).
