Can I Correct Solar and Wind Investments That I Never Had. I'm Stuck.

You could try deleting Form 5695 from your tax return.

To delete this Form in TurboTax Desktop:

1. Click on "Forms" at the top right of the screen to switch to "Forms Mode"
2. In the left panel scroll down to Form 5695
3. Click on Form 5695, it will display on your screen
4. At the bottom click on "Delete Form"

To delete this Form in TurboTax Online:

1.  Continue, or Pick up where you left off to enter your return.
2. In your left panel, select "Tax Tools" and then "Tools".
3. On the page that pops up, scroll to "Other Helpful Links"
4. Choose "Delete a form".
5. Select "Delete" next to the form 5695

You can also review your screens that you answered regarding energy-efficient home improvements to make sure everything is reported correctly.  

You can do this in TurboTax Desktop:

1. Click on the tab (top screen gray bar) "Deductions & Credits"
2. Under the Section "Your Home"
3. Click on "Start" or "Update" next to "Home Energy Credits"
4. Review your answers on the screens to make sure they are correct

You can do this in TurboTax Online:

1. Continue where you left off
2. Click on "Deductions & Credits" in the left panel
3. Scroll down the page to find "Your Home"
4. Click on the (down-facing caret)
5. Scroll down to "Home Energy Credits"
6. Click on "Revisit"
7. Review your answers on the screens to make sure they are correct
