Can I deduct health insurance premiums from my place of employment?

I paid very high premiums last year and would like to know if I can deduct any?

Yes, you can deduct your health insurance premiums ONLY IF your employer included them in box 1 (gross wages) of your W-2. If the premiums are not included, it means they are paid with pre-tax dollars - they are deducted from your wages before taxes were applied. Deducting them would be "double-dipping" and that's not allowed.
