It depends. Supported iPad Devices (iOs 8 and above) are:

iPad: 2nd Gen, 3rd Gen, 4th Gen,
iPad mini: 1, 2, 3, 4
iPad Air: 1, 2
iPad Pro: 1

That old answer is not quite right.  You can not install the Desktop program on an iPad at all.  You have to use the Online web version or there is a mobile app you can install.  The Mobile App works with the Online version.  Here are some Mobile App FAQs

You have to log in to the same account. You need to start entering some basic Personal Info in 2021 for the side menu to open up. Just continue a little ways into 2021.

Yes, you can use either the internet version using the internet browser on your iPad or download the TurboTax app from the app store.
