Can I edit the Business Code under Tax Details on my 1099-NEC page?

I want to change the Business Code hoping that the system will better understand what expenses to suggest later on during the filing. I also looked up a code that better applies to the kinds of services I offered last year

Yes, you can make the changes in the Federal interview section of the program.

Select Income & Expenses
Select Self-employment income and expense
Proceed through the screens to edit your information regarding your business. You will be able to select the business activity and select Edit to the right of the business name.
Scroll down to Tax details and you will be able to edit the Business code in this section.
