can I return back to turbo tax later

Yes. The information saves automatically as you enter it when using TurboTax Online. So you can just click Sign Out in the bottom left corner. When you log back in, it will ask you to pick up where you left off. 

If you are using TurboTax CD/Download software, just click File in top left of your computer screen and then Save.
