Can I file 2020 even if I haven't file since 2016? Can I file the. Rest later??

Is it better if i do 2020 first? Or it will be better if i file all together?

You can still file your 2020 tax return now and then prepare the rest.  The only issue that could arise is if you have any carryovers from prior years that would affect your 2020 income tax return.

 

Your other option is to file an extension for 2020 and prepare the returns in order.  Be aware, any taxes are still payable by the due date of the return even if the return is extended.

 

You can file an extension within the program itself.

  1. Log back into your TurboTax account  and go to the federal section
  2. Select Other Tax Situations at the top of the screen
  3. Scroll down to Other Tax Forms
  4. Select File an Extension
  5. Proceed to answer the questions and follow the prompts to file your extension and make your tax payments
