No.  A 2017 W-2 cannot be entered on a 2019 tax return.

You would need to amend the 2017 tax return that was filed to add the 2017 W-2.

See this TurboTax support FAQ for amending a 2017 tax return - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/amending/help/how-do-i-amend-a-return-in-turbotax/01/27372

NO!  Each tax year has to be prepared and filed separately using the software and forms for the specific tax year.  You cannot combine them--ever.  The online program is ONLY for your 2019 return and you may only put 2019 income on it.

To file a return for a prior tax year

Only a 2019 return can be prepared online and e-filed.

If you need to prepare a return for 2016, 2017 or 2018 you can purchase and download desktop software to do it, then print, sign,  and mail the return(s)

Remember to prepare your state return as well—if you live in a state that has a state income tax.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS received the return.

Note: Desktop software requires a full PC or Mac—it cannot be installed to a mobile device
