Question

Can I file any forms without having any W-2s for 2021 since I was the only Financial provider for my two dependence?

I was able to provide financial responsibility between my personal savings, stimulus payments, previous years tax return, and the stimulus child credit. I was the Sole Provider financially taking care of both of my dependence. Is there any forms I can file without a W-2 to receive the income child tax credit or the stimulus child credit?

Even without any W-2's,  you can file a 2021 tax return to get the child tax credit for your dependent children up to age 17, and you can  use the recovery rebate credit to get the 3rd stimulus payment for yourself and your dependents IF you did not get that EIP payment.

Make sure you have entered your child as a dependent in My Info, and that you have entered the child's Social Security number. If your child was born in 2021make sure you said he lived with you the whole year.  There is an oddly worded question that asks if the child paid over half their own support.  Say NO to that question.

Did you get the monthly advance child  tax credit payments during July to December?   If so, you will receive letter 6419.   If you received any stimulus payments you will get letter 6475.

Make sure you answer all the questions in the Federal Review section.

The child tax credit shows up on line 28 of your Form 1040.  Stimulus payment shows up on line 30.
