Hello,

I am new to this extension process. Can I submit my extension request electronically instead of printing form 4868 and mail it?

I am following TurboTax online for extension filing, and it is asking me how will I pay the due amount, I will not be able to pay in full.

What should I do?

is it possible to make the payments (owed tax to IRS) in installments? How to request that?

Enter the amount that you can pay.

The extension gives you until October 15, 2025 to file your taxes without getting a failure to file penalty. You don't get extra time to pay your taxes, so you must pay any taxes that you may have that are due by April 15, 2025 so you won't be assessed the failure to pay penalty.
