Question

Can I file HOH?I bought a house by myself in Aug. '21 and moved my pregnant girlfriend in with me. She gave birth to my daughter on Nov. 5 '21 is it too early to claim?

We are unmarried, and I fully pay my Mortgage, she covers small Utilities.

You can claim Head of Household. The IRS will not penalize you just because your daughter was born in the latter part of the year. A child born at any point in the year is considered to have lived with you all year.

    Be sure to enter that your child lived with you all year (which is okay for newborns).  However, you cannot claim your girlfriend as a dependent, since she did not live with you all year.
