Can I file jointly with my spouse even if her status on her W2 form is stating as single?

The status used to determine the tax withheld on a W-2 doesn't really have anything to do with the status you choose to use on your tax returns.  It should actually benefit you that she filled out her W-4 for withholdings at work as Single, because that means more tax was taken out.  Now, when you file jointly, you may find you owe less or are getting a bigger refund because more was withheld during the year.
