Can i file my taxes again with a different provider if they could not be electronically filed with turbo tax and i have not mailed them yet?

TT would not let me clear my return and start over because it had been "registered" but it won't be filed until I mail it. What if I don't mail it and do my taxes through a different service? Will the IRS get the correct filing as long as I don't mail the wrong one?

Yes. Your return on TurboTax will remain dormant and you can file elsewhere. If it makes you feel better, you could just delete individual forms.

Here's the general procedure for viewing the forms list and deleting unwanted forms, schedules, and worksheets in TurboTax Online:

Open or continue your return in TurboTax.
In the left menu, select Tax Tools and then Tools.
In the pop-up window Tool Center, choose Delete a form.
Select Delete next to the form/schedule/worksheet in the list and follow the instructions.
