Can I file single if I'm married but haven't been with her in over 2 years?

Yes, you could be considered as "unmarried" if you did not live together for at least the last 6 months of 2021.

If that is the case, you would file as Single.

  • Even if you are still married, the IRS considers you unmarried if you did not live with your spouse for the last six months of the tax year.
