Question

Can I get help with a rejected return that TurboTax says is error free but irs says has an error? I don’t have a rental this year but form 8960 is being filled w/ error

F8960-019-04 - If Form 8960, 'NetRentalIncomeOrLossAmt' has a non-zero value, then it must be equal to Schedule 1 (Form 1040), 'RentalRealEstateIncomeLossAmt' unless all of the following conditions are true: 1) Filing status of the return is Married filing jointly or Qualifying widow(er) and 2) Form 8960, checkboxes 'Section6013gInd' and 'Section6013hInd' are not checked and 3) Form 8960, 'FilingThresholdAmt' equals 125000.

Unfortunately, there's no help to be had at this time.

This is an IRS programming error which, as of today, is estimated to have a fix implemented sometime in late February to mid-March, 2023.

If you want to file your return electronically, you'll need to wait for the fix.

Is it possible to be notified when the irs has a fix?  Want to file as soon as I can. Thank you.

I filed again today and my return was accepted by IRS and California. The problem is solved for me.
