I used an accountant last year and have lots of stuff under amortization. Can I import taxes done elsewhere to feed into this year's return?

You use the online version and pay for Deluxe or higher.  Then there will be a field in Tax Tools, Tools, to upload a pdf from last year.  It does not always work for me but something you can try.  It might help you to avoid some typing.

IT must be the electronically created PDF file that the other software produced...it cannot be a scanned copy you converted to PDF.

BUT...it might bring in far less than you expect...In prior years a PDF import only brought in names birthdates, SSNs and AGI.   It's unlikely to bring in any amortization data.

.....but I know the programmers were working on improving that for PDF imports, but there's no FAQs indicating what they can do now...worth a try...but ????
