Question

Can I just report blank boxes on my 1099 even though I don't have it with me but I know it was blank?

What kind of 1099 are you asking about?  There are over a dozen kinds of 1099's.   Are you asking about a 1099NEC for self-employment income, 1099R for retirement income, SSA1099 for Social Security, 1099B for investment income, 1099INT for interest, etc etc. etc.?????

EIN = Employer Identification Number

the 1099 may use the term TIN. it's 2 digits followed by a dash and 7 digits

if it from an individual it may use their social security number

the actual form will likely say Payer' TIN

in Turbotax, depending on the type of 1099, there may be no need to enter it

Are you saying that all of the boxes on the 1099 were blank? That's highly unlikely. The payer would not have issued a 1099 with no amounts. If that's what you think, you should wait until you have the 1099 in your hand and take another look at it.
