Can I pay my federal taxes due by check and my arizona state taxes due by efw when I efile both at the same time?

Sure ... but read the screens carefully in the FILE tab as  many states do not let you set up EFW thru the TT system ... if that is the case then indicate you will send a check then go to the state website to pay directly.   You really should do the same for the feds instead of trusting the US post office.
