Question

Can I restart my taxes using a different Turbotax product e.g. Small Business instead of Self-Employed if my return was rejected?

I filed as married filing separately, my husband claimed me on his taxes and filed as head of household. I just wanted to file for my new small business, and I didn't see that presented as an option when I opened Turbotax.

Sorry he can not do that.  He can not claim you.  A spouse is never a dependent.  You should be filing a Joint return.  Your return rejected because he claimed you.  Do you have any children?  He needs a qualifying child to file Head of Household.  And you have to live apart the last 6 months of the year to be Head of Household.

He needs to amend his return.  And delete you as a dependent and add you as Spouse and file Joint.  Then you can add your self employment business in the Joint return.  Or what kind of Business return do you need to file?  Like a 1120 or a S corp or 1065?

Yes. Until your return is accepted, it is not filed.
