Yes, just line out the current amount and write in the amount you will be sending.

Thanks, Champ. The form was generated by TTax last April and I was afraid it was somehow electronically coded with the pre-printed figure.

Of course.   Just cross out the amount and write any amount you want.   You can also pay online.  https://www.eftps.gov/eftps/

mail early. even the USPS is experiencing delays in deliveries due to short staff due to the pandemic. you may want to use a method where you get proof of delivery.   a package sent to me from Seattle, WA to Chicago, IL  took 10 days rather than the usual 10 and there have been more news reports lately of people finding undelivered mail in garbage cans and even people not receiving mail for weeks at a time. the alternative is directpay thru the IRS website but you have to be careful in entering correct info such as routing and a/c numbers.  yo can specify the ate the payment will be charged and when done there is an option to print a receipt.

Sure, the IRS isn't expecting an Estimated payment or a certain amount.    Or you can pay directly on the IRS website https://www.irs.gov/payments

Be sure to pick the right kind of payment and year.....2021 Estimate
