The information you have entered in TurboTax is saved once you have entered it.

 

In TurboTax online or the TurboTax app, the process is automatic. You can open or close the program at any time. The TurboTax Desktop is also automatic, though it will ask you if you want to save the data when you close the program. Answer Yes, and close the program.
