Can I simply take the forms my CPA files this year and input them to TurboTax and use that as a base to only use TurboTax going forward?

I currently have a CPA do my taxes here in California. I'm on Social Security now with IRA distributions an investment property in another state (GA). Can I simply take the forms my CPA files this year and input them to TurboTax and use that as a base to only use TurboTax going forward?

Yes, you can create a tax return in TurboTax for 2018 and not file it.  It will still be there next year, and if you start a return next year, the information will "roll over" to your 2019 return, which will give you a big head start on preparing your tax returns yourself next year.  Make sure to save/remember your user ID and password for your TurboTax account, as you will need to log in to the same account next year.

i doubt this will work, After October 15 you won't be able to get at your 2018 "tax return" that you did not pay for.
