Can I still file for an extension today

No, you can't file for an extension after midnight in your time zone on April 15, unless you live in Maine or Massachusetts. Due to state holidays, their deadline is April 17, 2024.

 

Taxpayers who are abroad on the filing deadline, have until June 15, 1024 to file their return, but still must pay by April 15.
