Yes you must file a return since a portion of the 8,000 will be taxable. Depending on how much tax was withheld, you may have to pay or you may get a refund. To file a 2015 tax return using TurboTax, you must buy and download the 2015 software: https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/

An alternative would be to download the form from the IRS and fill it out by hand: http://www.irs.gov/app/picklist/list/priorFormPublication.html?value=1040&criteria=formNumber&submitSearch=Find

Yes you would still file a tax return even if you are claimed as a dependent. Are you asking about 2015 or 2016? How much income did you have and were you a W-2 employee?

I'm asking about 2015 because I worked but I didn't file that year , my mom had claimed me so I thought that I couldn't do it . Yes I was a W-2 employee and I made roughly about 8,000
