What exact product did you use?   Did you use Free Edition or a paid edition for the Federal return?  Underneath your question above it's indicating Online Deluxe.   Did you use Online Deluxe to file a Federal return, and now do you want to go back into it and prepare a state return?   If so, we can tell you how to do that.   A state return in Online Deluxe is $50.

What did you mean by "basic TurboTax?"    The product called Basic Edition is a desktop software product that one installs on one's computer.   It does not include a state program, but one can be added for 44.99.
